You shoul read "the Australian Connection" because it is a very exciting story for young people who like to read about a travel to Australia where a boy wants to know his real dad and who felt in love .
The book shows us feelings from father to son who don´t know each other and theire relationship .
Also the success to a popstar and the love to a girl...
There were many problems... which makes the story more exciting and interesting.

The beat crew were not anymore successful because Joe and Pete drunk a lot and got racist...
Dani and Alex leave Australia and move to Londan.There they build a new band , named the dolphins.
They celebrated New Year´s Eve with Alex´family .

Chapter 8 Up to the top...

The most exciting or interesting situation was on page 48.
I really want to be there too and saw the dolphins jumping into the sea, this are my favorite animals.
Also Alex had been thinking the opposite what Dani said about the dolphins and them.
This is interesting for me.
I found the comparing with the dolphins very good . Alex said:"they are free. We are not"(p48/l29).
I agree to Alex , he is right. What is with your opinion? Do you agree?

chapter 7 father and son
After reading chapter 7: 1. Comment on the following quote: "and, of course,Alex understood only too well."

Chapter 6 Into the rain forest
Task: Befor you read chapter 6 predict what Alex tells Tom when he meets him for the first time after16 years.
Alex is very excited and surprised if he see his father .
Because of this,in my opinion would Alex speak in a diffident way to his father .
They would talk at the beginnig very sparsely and quietly.
Maybe Alex ask his father why he never contact his son and both of them would be more reserved about their relationship.

After a greeting Tom began to be very nervous I think , because he wants to impress his son with making jokes and laughing a lot .Alex became very angry and he wanted to know why his dad don´t contact his son(p.31 l 23-27) and he began to cry (p32 l 2).
The way I see it, is Alex very disappointed about the reaction of his dad.
I was very shocked that Tom only said that he is very sorry to left Alex and his mother and that he got it very wrong (p 32 l 9).
After this little argument Alex felt somehow that he had lost a father , but found a friend.
If I was Alex I would feel very sad about this result.
I think I was right about Alex´ beginnig to talk with his father why he left their (first) family.

Chapter 4 the big decision
task: Dani and Alex have their first disagreement
why? What is it about? What´s your opinion about it?
The first disagreement from Dani and Alex is in my opinion about an unimportant topic.
Dani shows Alex the penguins on the beach where it is full of tourists which are observing them.
She finds that this birds are sweet (with bulding nests in holes and briging fish-supper for their babies).
But Alex don´t think like Dani and came to a disagreement that Alex likes to stay in spotlight.
Dani finds that Alex only likes the attention from their Fan´s and that he ever wants to be on the fore, but Alex don´t think so and he said.
Because this was a very short contest and Dani made a "joke"I think it wasn´t so important because both quite agree.
It isn´t so bad to have a disagreement .
If you ask me that's good to get to know a person.

3. chapter The Australian Connection
On top of St. Mary´s Peak were Alex and Kevin they talked about Tom.
Kevin told Alex about the visits to st. Mary´s Peak with Tom and as he learned to know a bit more about his father´s personality he had very mixed feelings.
When it begins to rain they ended theire conversation and went back.
Alex thinks :" let him see how he likes it" as he went to sleep.
When Alex thought that , I think he means his father because Alex is angry about the reactions from his father.
He wants that his father feels like Alex as he came to Sydney and there were not Tom.

the australian Connectin, 2. chapter
Alex was very excited to meet his real dad in Australia.But when he arrived to the airpord, there were only Tom`s wife and theire two children.
As I read this part that there weren`t his dad I was very angry and sad about this happening.
I think that this was the same feeling of Alex.
Also he was certainly very angry to his dad because he were in Londan and Alex came from there.Tom never had contact to his son when he was in London and he didn´t said anything that when Alex arrived he will not be there.
This is a shock for Alex and in my opinion he is right.
It´s not a good beginning in Australia and the relation with his father begins not so good too.
But Alex will be happier when he met Dani , a girl from the neighborhood .
Alex spend a great time with her and he said:" that was the best day of my life". page 13
This is an argument for it that Alex is happy .

the Australian Connection 1. chapter
While I read the first chapter of this book I was very interested by the next chapter and I wanted to know more about the visit from Alex to Australia.
How would be the reaction if Alex see his father and how the relation between Tom and his son?
My first impression of the book was good because the text is interesting and I could understand all about the text and when I didn`t understand a word I could look into the vocabulary on the last pages of the book.
Alex life begins after the deal with his mother very good because he will see his father in Australia.That will be very exciting for Alex and for the reader ,
me.
